The A.V. Symington Aquatic Center is located within Ida Lee Park and features a 600-foot lazy river, large slide tower with two body flumes, drop slide, 25-yard lap pool, two gang slides, water pipe fall, crossing feature, dumping buckets, little squirt whale and floating snake and alligator.

Additionally, a large “beach” area with bubblers and water fountains, a

concession stand and a grass picnic area are all available for swimmer use.

Admission is $5 ($6 weekends) for Leesburg residents, $9 ($10 weekends) for non-residents. Season passes are available. For further information on pool and party package rentals, camp reservations and more, call Ida Lee at 703-779-5390.

The $7 million center resembles a commercial water park more than a community pool and has sections designed for various age groups. The baby pool is surrounded by a shaded seating area where parents can watch their little ones play. Another area of the pool, intended for school-age children, is about three feet deep and decorated with plastic lily pads and a cargo net. The deepest end is for teenagers and includes a slide that sits about 20 inches above the water, creating a big drop at the end of the ride.

Another group will travel 12.5 miles from the hotel to the A.V. Symington Aquatics Center to enjoy this $7 Million water park.  It is expected that most will take their own cars, but there will be limited space in the hotel shuttle to travel to and from A. V. Symington, so make your reservations early if you'll need the shuttle!
