This contest is open to all members of the family aged 8-16.

 

The Contest

 

 

Write a brief essay--250 to 500 words--explaining the significance of the words "Together As One, Divided By None" that appear on the back of the Family Reunion T-Shirt.

 

Essay must be submitted AS AN ATTACHMENT via email to cousin Wendell at wendellecarter@gmail.com by July 30th, 2015. The best three essays will be read at the reunion and a panel of five cousins will select a winner.  Runner ups will also receive prizes.

 

Essay must be double-spaced, and follow the guidelines of the English Language Association for essays.  Attention must be paid to grammar and spelling.

 

Contestants must be present at the reunion and read their essay aloud during the Saturday night dinner to be eligible to win.
